Fashion party::Hunter Daphne Alcid's 3rd

We've been home exactly a week already... And this party is the first we've done since we've arrived. Before we left, Daphne's chic mom, Jo already made arrangements for this one. It was just yesterday though that the venue was finalized and we were given the green light to start assembling what we need. Good luck! In 24 hours we were tasked to do this.

I choose the sketches and had them printed just this morning. Talk about cramming. I am just glad that the people who work for us and we work with have a parallel mind set like ours. That is to finish what we've started with flair... Grace under pressure.

My hat bags I scoured from the flea markets of Hawaii. My rainbow boa rested on a cute body former from Jo's friend designer, Joel D.

Who says you can only put cupcakes on a cupcake server? Teehee!

We made different fashion boards as part of the center pieces. And since the affair was just for a few, we made the tables, dessert tables as well. Cookies, wafer sticks and cupcakes by Leila's took the stage.

See the measuring tape I used as a ribbon? Lovely yarns in different colors. Sigh!

Patterned paper I got from Ben and Franklin's. I couldn't find the heart to cut it at first, but them again, it was intended for little Daphne's birthday.

Cute cupcakes on top of the stacked magazines.

Used my mirrors as trays for this event. Teehee!

What cute way to ask for monetary gifts? Very clever!

The brown paper bags were drab at first, but with a little help from my edger puncher... We made lace edges then tied lovely ribbons to make it fab.

The ghosts artfully decorated with boa's, sketches and pearls.

I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of today's party. To think of the time restraint we had, jet lag and all.

Happy birthday to the little one and thanks to Jo and Bryan, for time and again, entrusting their kiddo's birthdays to us. Much love!

Kailua beach:: as pristine as it gets

In my existence, I have never seen a beach as pristine as Kailua's. The sand is soooo unbelievably white and fine. The water is very clear and blue. It was calming to be there.

We let Ava loose. When the waves catches up on him, he was shrieking and laughing like crazy... Very priceless must I say. Again, how ironic that it is priceless... It actually do comes with a price tag that equates to three round trip airfare tickets to and fro Hawaii. Teehee!

While the little one was frolicking in the beach, the big one went hiking. In slippers! He went hiking a few miles away from the beach, overlooking the town and the beach. He says, it was so nice and chilly up there. I am just too a sissy that I'm not too fond of hiking, unless I get to see pretty stuff on the way up. Ha!ha!

And in just a few days, we shall be back home. Sigh! And so I learned that once we touch home base, we are back to work. Well, the price we need to pay for a few weeks off. Nevertheless, this beach lovin' trip is priceless.
