Nautical meets the Hamptons:: Simon Gavin's baptism

I have been cautioned not to post too much for the risk of being too exposed. After so much thought, I disagree. And I hope it is not going to end up in regret. We started everything at first for the little one and when we expanded doing other things, it was to please ourselves. I always tell the mister and the staff, if we get to please ourselves with what we do, then it will follow that we please others. And it has to be providential that the heavens has blessed us with this gifts so we can make others happy as well. And every time we do a project, I couldn't help but still be in awe and super thankful that the handful of projects we have are so far, unique from each other and bears our signature - that is an extension of ourselves.

Forgive me for being overly sentimental on this post. It's just that I have been reminded one too many. And before I indulge sulking, I have to draw strength from the fact, that it is always a blessing to inspire others.

When Tin Alcid-Apostol asked us to style her son's baptismal party, she sent pegs our way. Truly lovely ones, but we certainly cannot replicate them like a photocopying machine. Hah! That would be a giveaway and I feel that we would have shortchanged her by not at least trying to come up with something novel for little Simon Gavin. She wanted to veer from the usual nautical reds and blues so she went blues and yellows instead. So we did that! Loving her sister in law's description of what we did that it was very Hamptons! I like that! A lot! And that reminder changes my mood totally. So how about, push lang ng push ng loveliness? Of course!

Classy loveliness :: Lily and Norman

Somehow, I can't take full credit on this loveliness. Rather this was the brains of Lily and Norman who knew what they wanted and what they wanted was just beyond beautiful. To say we were instruments to translate their visions into something tangible would be just apt.
Lily wore a lovely lovely Veluz gown past black vases with lush white roses towards his handsome groom yesterday. Sigh! Such a sucker for loveliness! If you can imagine that. Her primary bouquet was done by Dylan of Vatel Manila. The lovely white bouquet we did which you see next is her reception / throw away bouquet. Recipient's going to be very very lucky. Teehee!
And before I left the house to do theirs, I had a quick photo shoot with their arm candies. The flower girls pomanders I impromptu switched to mini birdcages accented with lovely peacock feathers. Swoon!
And the cake that took mine and the mister's breathe away. The picture doesn't do justice. So I'm inserting the in the works close up fire of how the feathers, edible feathers look like. Sigh! My friend Tricia, who was one of the coordinators for yesterday's wedding observed that our cakes went sleek, and simple recently. How very observant! It takes every ounce of restraint not to go over and patience to do those kinds of cakes. Looks can be very deceiving... Not too easy to do. Sigh!
And our team must have been in very good spirits that we finished full draping the Plaza del Norte in one day.
Dearest Norman and Lily, thank you for including us in your short list of amazing suppliers. Mahalo and muchas gracias. To more lovely and stylish days with each other.

Oh my yellow! :: Mary Jane + Skye

I am beginning to love yellow. Must be that it brightens up our black and white home or the brown dark walls of Fort Ilocandia Hotel's ballroom. Either way, it's a foolproof color to liven up the day.

What I love most about Mary Jane and Skye's wedding is how the bridal bouquet came out. I'm loving how the fillers complemented the golden yellow Ecuadorean roses. And as a team, I'm loving how we have definitely improved doing two weddings in a day, that is in terms of following our time frame and maintaining our stress levels below threshold. Believe me, doing two loveliness in a day is crazy.

Today is also our first time to work with Joel Baptista as the head coordinator and planner for a wedding. Everything was smooth and I love love how he describes what we do as "clean" teehee! In my side, I'd like to think it is coherent.
