Summer in February :: Gladys and Erwin

Our month ender comes with a pole shift. A few days before today, it dawned me that the palette we were working on was very Kate Spade-ish. Fuchsia, orange and gold. I did an emergency call to our bride and ask if was she willing to let us play more and infuse black in the palette, and thank heavens she did. And so the mister and I did some brainstorming in the war room slash home office. Believe me, it takes time to come up with something. I don't mind the craziness that comes with it. It just doesn't feel right to stencil someone else's work.

And yesterday's loveliness for Gladys and Erwin begins with the lovely cake. Do you notice the lace pattern? Let me know if you do. We took inspiration from a gift recently. Teehee!

Let me share with you first how vibrant the colors were under the sun and at Fort's sprawling, verdant lawn.

And I love love doing something special at the back pew in churches. The asters, simple, yet so elegant.

And of course the reception.

And those flowers popping out from frames, I hope that remains ours. Teehee!

There goes our month ender! Congratulations to Gladys and Erwin... To days filled with so much color.

Love under blue skies :: Kislie and Efmar

I know you are as excited as I am with this loveliness. The collective question might be how in heavens sake did we let the lace parasols look like they were floating? Were you trying to zoom in the photos to see how they were anchored? Teehee! I leave the honors to the mister to explain how it was done.

While we were working on this loveliness, the groom comes unexpectedly. He came to tour his visiting relatives at the MalacaƱang of the North. We chatted a bit, and I love how he was talking about his beautiful bride, and every time he does mention her name, seriously his eyes twinkle. And literally he was brimming with so much love with just the mention of her.

And while all the craziness was going on in assembling this loveliness, the venue had 21 truckloads of tourists scheduled yesterday. I was loving how others were no longer mindful about the place but rather were taking photos of what we were doing, and asking about the possibility of having us in their milestones. A couple wanted to book us right then and there. Teehee!
When the mister and I were brainstorming about Kislie and Efmar's wedding, we wanted something that would suit Kislie's personality and yet bask from the lakes sereneness. I remember our 8 year old lace parasols (oh my!) which I had pulled out from the bodega. Was too dingy and old. I'm glad it was because there's these lace stash I was longing to use for this wedding. About time! How lovely right?
The door that led to loveliness! I was praying that our bride's gown was not the princessy ballgown looking ones. She would not fit that door. Teehee! Glad she was wearing a serpentine cut and she was definitely beautifully slim, she fit right through. Note to self, have a bigger one next time. Teehee!

I was so adamant about having a red carpet for her to walk on. But she was having doubts it might be difficult to sashay in her stilettos. I'm glad we have a grass carpet on hand, blended nicely with the venue's well kept lawn.
And of course the reception. We had sweet sweet pink flowers everywhere. I'm quite lost for words now. Teehee!

Much love Kislie and Efmar! Thank you for making us your non negotiable! We wish you lovely warm days together when you are set to leave for there!

Classy Carlisle's 1st

C. Chic. Classy. Carlisle's 1st.

I'm quite lost for words with Carlisle's dramatic gatsby inspired first. The old world charm tugs my heart. And possibly the color palette is a break from the usual cute ones we usually have for kids.

Wait til you see Marianne Pasion's photos of this party. The guests, young and old, dressed to the occasion. Women in flappers, men in mafia looking garb. Pearls piled up, what a sight! Loveliness!
