Vintage Classic:: Angelika + Don

Ilocos Norte must have a handful of the loveliest churches in the country that a lot of folks consider and eventually come and marry here. And not just churches but spot on reception venues which tickles your fancy.
Our lovely couple Angelika and Don are from Tuguegarao. Their guests came from the different parts of the country as well as the globe. I hope we were able to make their trip to Ilocos Norte worthy of the travel.
Would you believe that their cake was rushed? Long story... But it was.

Lovely sunset wedding receptions are best at Sitio Remedios.

I'm very partial with anything black, so when Ms. Nona Castillejos-Clemente - one of the country's rock star planners and coordinators, told me that we were doing black and yellow with hints of vintage, I knew right then pearls on black would be the key.

Her team was quite a sight to behold while they were working.

Loveliness. Definitely.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2014 {Ilocos Norte}

It's always a challenge to work for the Visionaire Group. What makes it quite endearing is the people behind the company and the projects they send our way.

Our 2nd event for them his year is the Make Your Own Havaianas 2014- Ilocos Norte edition. We revamped our chairs and birdcages by spray painting them neon! Yay! Lovely! The resins pineapples are a personal collection of Visionaire's big boss, Mary Ann Cua Macaraeg. The live birds we used came from Jenny Ong- she must have one of the most extensive bird collection in the province. If it wasn't that lengthy, I would have regaled you with the ingress story of this project. As Visionaire's Marketing Assistant Ace Rumbaoa would have insisted, the pride... Maintain!

My Bonfim ribbon had ENDLESS LOVELINESS. They say if it unties and falls by itself,the wish comes true. Why, it did fell as the day ended. Yey! Cartwheels!

Oh and of course, the team looks forward to this event not only for the challenge it brings but with the joy of playing a slipper designer for a change!

Obrigada!

Ombré:: Christian and Cherry

How many shades can lovely be? Christian and Cherry's wedding in Ombré pink reminds me of how sweet love can be. We did theirs in very lush topiaries of lovely roses, carnations, snapdragons, alstroemerias, mukaras and lisianthuses.

In behalf of our rock solid team, we wish Christian and Cherry all the sweetness the world has to offer!

Para Siempre :: Pam and Louis

Te ame desde el momento en que puse mis ojos en ti.

It truly must be after their meeting at a salsa lovers watering hole, Chihuahua. Though it may be frequent for us to do loveliness in weddings, it is not everyday where I can see and feel beautiful, lovely, wedding ceremonies and party afters. And for the record, the weddings we try to witness has never been disappointing, very intimate, the guests very participative in the merriments. Sigh!

Pam was the loveliest. Radiant, breathtaking. I let go a few happy tears as she was walking towards Louis with her father.

She walked along a candle lined aisle with a few pails of lovely blooms.

Maracas to cheer their union.

We can't really take full credit on Pam and Louis' loveliness as the venue itself was already a sight to behold. Like I said, I couldn't ask for a better place for Ava's Cakes and Events to do our first Manila event styling, Enderun was so lovely.

We had machuca repros as placemats for the carnations, lilies, hydrangeas,lisianthuses and roses we used. A few authentic cigars tocreate the Havana nights vibe we wanted. And the flowers had to be in deep, bright colors!

Quite impressed with the photo collages done by Michelle Pasia, the bride's almost sister in law, so very creative. It is actually very intelligent to do it such way. Madeline Hagape did the invites. Very Pam and Louis. Well, everything was very Pam and Louis. Amazing how artworks done with the heart come out the loveliest.

Pam y Louis deseamos días encantadora llenados de risas y amor y por supuesto la salsa. Salud para siempre.
