Coral Me Love:: Arlene + Christopher

Yes, coral me love. Sigh! Something must be wrong with me for being too giddy with what we do. I'm the kind who takes eons to get over from something lovely. It must also be the mister singing beside me that makes me want to reminisce yesterday's loveliness pronto.

For Chris and Arlene's we had a lot of coral and blush fresh florals. We went organic with our arrangements too. Something different from what we usually do that brings me back to memories when we were just starting. Believe me, years back, organic was the thing.

And the cake, oh my love! The simplest looking ones are sometimes the sweetest.

And this is another rock stellar wedding under Audrey Adora of Red Gala's belt. I love love working with them and it gives me joy (and relief) to know that we have a lot of events together this year and a few for the first quarter of next year. Way to go Auds!

Game of Thrones:: Rylus' 1st

What else could be a better way to kick off our 2015 events calendar than an epic, Game of Thrones, themed party for Rylus Singson? His lovely mom, Patch, made sure this was going to be really epic by bringing in stilt walkers, mimes and super talented entertainers from Manila.

For a non Game of Thrones watcher, the elements I knew of that has to be there is throne -which I really really am thankful for that Patch was so resourceful and we did not have to do it anymore or else we just had to wing it in less than a week, a golden dragon, and a grand banquet in a castle like setting. I love how our stone wall came up. It was a happy mistake, yet the outcome was better than expected. Would you believe, the mister and I were thinking of our garden wall that way with the same material we used for this party? Teehee!

So there goes the banquet!

Happy birthday little one! To more great feasts!

Blooming in December:: James + Dada

I like subdued simplicity. When I had our first meeting with James and Dada, could not help but admire their choice of invitation design. It was so classy. Simple yet exuding with so much class. Yes, before I go raving about the styling we did, let me gush about their invitation. Teehee! The invite is the first peek guests could see about your wedding... classy invites demand an affair to be treated as such. The monograms from James and Dada's invitation was used in the cake we did for them.

What I like most when couples opt not to get a full blast lights package for their reception is that you get to see the real colors of the flowers we put in. We had a lot of colorful lovely blooms for this wedding. Someone asked me a few days ago, why is it we don't package our styling with lights and sounds. My sane answer was, it is because I like to be in control with everything. Third parties that I cannot control is a big no no for me. I refuse to cover for mishaps we did not do or take credit for the opposite. And as our conversation goes, I added that we make it a point that with or without lights, what we do is lovely enough already.
Case in point, try having so many special lighting effects for the ballroom and you won't appreciate the natural colors of this tablescape. There are of course instances where you need the more the merrier lighting. Oh my! I'm fickle! Teehee! Best bet for me is to see the decorating with a soft flicker of candles like a sun kissed glow.

Love in a garden:: Liese + Russ

It seems like it was just yesterday when we had our first meeting at the Nordstrom Cafe in Ala Moana. And it still feels like yesterday when Liese and Russ's loveliness happened, and not a week ago. They wanted an outdoor vibe for their wedding but had to do it at the Plaza del Norte Convention Center. So what do we do, bring outdoors... indoors. What's most memorable doing meetings with these two are the times they had Liese's mom with them. Funny meetings that extends to "I don't like walnuts in the cake, but that's just me, I don't know about you." Wink! Subtle coercions! Nevertheless, the wedding was lovely.

Congratulations Liese and Russ! Will see you in Haweewee soon!
