Dainty Filipiniana:: Deidre + Bryan

I remember my first meeting with Bryan and Deidre, I was blabbing incessantly about what loveliness we are set to do for their wedding. Then I asked what else do they want to have, to which I was taken a back when they told me they wanted a Filipiniana themed wedding. The idea I was presenting was an opposite of what they wanted, ooops! I didn’t get the memo. So to make amends, Ace and I had to come up with a proposal pronto. Our usual an hour meetings extended to three yet for every detail we were agreeing upon was bringing excitement  even if my sketches were ununderstable.

I love how everything came together. The ceiling work was a  darling! We had “baki’s” (chicken nesting pens) overflowing with pristine white orchids. The tables had soft pink florals with bricks, capiz, driftwoods. The stage was done very simply with banig and my ornate Made in India carved floral holders.

And while I was reeling about the loveliness we did, a  friend- one of today’s event coordinator, Nikki Peralta, quips how a friend of hers did ask if am I hands-on in doing these projects. Hands-on would be an understatement because I find my job as an excuse to shop for vases, knick knacks, fabrics, and what nots. And playing with flowers is a crazy addiction I have, I can only wish for a floral market like the one’s they have overseas though. And i’m quite proud of our core team, they’ve mastered the art of knowing how we want things done- tasteful, beautiful arrangements.

Let your LOVE pour :: Cathy + Jhon

We've had a rainy weekend and it reminds me of Cathy and Jhon's loveliness which we did before we left for Hawaii. For their sweethearts lounge, we had strings of pearls and a floral cloud out of beautiful hydrangeas, roses, carnations and lisianthuses. The photos are going to tell the story of Cathy and Jhon's while I'll go off tangent. The gloomy weather is keeping me sentimental.
I have a love X hate relationship with the rain. I love how nice it is to cuddle while it rains yet I hate it when it won't allow us to be outdoors. My heart cries a little when the boys can't play tennis. I love how the garden looks greener and the plants have these tiny kisses of water droplets. Yet I hate it when it soaks the grass too much that it forms puddles. I love how soothing the sound of raindrops yet it scares it when it comes with the sound of thunder and lightning.

Dreamy:: Kristine + Teddy

The loveliness after loveliness line up we have for this week keeps my heart doing cartwheels. Done with our Ilocos Sur and Norte events... Ready for our Manila. Before we left for Manila, we did this loveliness for Kristine and Teddy at Playa Tropical Resort Hotel.

What I love most about doing hand tied, garden style bouquets is that as long as you use beautiful florals and foliage, bundle and tie, it just comes out beautifully, artlessly. And for this loveliness, I had to take photos while the candles and mood lights are unlit. That's the reason why we always have to make sure everything's picture perfect with or without enhancements.

Love by the beach:: Eman + Jeanne

I'm still smitten with Eman and Jeanne's lovely beach wedding. Jeanne had a star fish kissed bouquet of fragrant pink and white peonies, some stars of Bethlehem, and gypsophilia's, wrapped in nautical blue and white stripes.
They did their vows by the beach, lantern lined aisle decorated with white florals, a dainty gazebo draped in white sheer cloth. The celebration after the ceremony was at Playa Tropical's pavilion. Their sweetheart's lounge had beautiful roses, lisianthuses, tulips and hydrangeas with my personal collection of tin and wood lanterns, nautical elements- anchor and wooden buoy.
