Make Your Own Havaianas Press Launch

Our 2nd party  for yesterday, coming from Manila, then stopping for the Vintage Little Man party in Cabugao. And as fate would have it, this party was not easy to do. Groggy, sleepy, tired and all, just had a quick shower when we reached home then headed up to Java Hotel to do this party. Time check? 2 PM  What does the invite say? 4 PM give or take another hour... 5 PM tops. Three hours to come up with this loveliness. I arrived at a  too bare poolside with drapes which certainly won't match the look we wanted. Okay, no worries with that. I asked why we're there no tables, and apparently a little mis-communication that we were supposed to supply it. So I told them, we don't have tables and the hotel needs to provide it. Only again to find out that there are 3 more functions that day and all tables are being used. Nightmare in the afternoon, really. Gladly Sir Louie of Java was able to source three long tables which we made do and prettified. Time check? A few minutes before three.

 Lest I forget, this party was for the Mini Make your own Havaianas Press Launch... where the local press and some of Ilocos Norte's chi chi folks attended. Yes, we shall have our version of Make Your Own Havaianas already folks with limited edition Ilocos pins and that is at Robinsons Ilocos Norte on May 24-26 ONLY! You have to mark your calendars for that. Yay!

 That's my name right there, apparently I was not only a stylist for this event but was invited as Press as well.

 And I not only receive a lovely summer tote, but a huge flipfloat and THAT loveliness right there. Teehee!

 And the ghosts were an impromptu addition for this party. I couldn't take using mono block chairs for this. The ghosts definitely have to be used. And 30 minutes before call time, I decided on this. My goodness!

 After all the craziness, when the guests were raving about the ambiance, couldn't help but be giddy and proud that somehow we did well. More so, when Visionaire's big boss was happy with what we did, the details and all. Sigh! I definitely love love my job!

Vintage Little Man :: Juancho Miguel's Baptism

Had to cut short Ace's UAP convention for this lovely party for little Juancho. Still sleepy and all, our first stop was at Cabugao Beach Resort where we met our staff as they came all the way from Laoag City too. The bike looks nice in front of the bleached wall. The brown luggages, very apt and vintagey. Yay!

The place was nice, I love the big trees that gives shade to the party area. The only meltdown was the manager of the place who was not very easy to talk with. Sigh! Again, you just don't get  all the loveliness in the world, but, these meltdowns won't stop us from creating loveliness.

Mauve love:: Elis + Razz

In all honesty, this is the wedding that elicited too many feelings from me. First, excitement- on doing a first with mostly Manila suppliers, who are quite famous in the wedding scene, working with Ms. Christine Ong Te of COTE Events, second, anxiety - if will we measure up to Razz and Elis and to that of our other co-suppliers, third, fear- of rains on the wedding day, fourth, if honor was a feeling then I am adding that up.

One of two centerpieces we had for the night, lush arrangements of lisianthus, carnations, roses and orchids. Very very dreamy specially when lit. We lined up the pool's perimeter with lots and lots of votive's too.

Ms. Christine Ong Te and the COTE pretty ladies

Technically this is the first time for us to work for Ms. Christine Ong Te. The first chance was that for Janina and Carlos Farinas' wedding two years ago, but that was just for their cake... this time we did the cake and event styling. I love how they work, how they give you space and let you do your thing and still very into what you are doing at the same time. Big shout to Ms. Paula King, who arranged conference video calls and all. Amazing how she does schedules in three different parts of the world, London, Manila and Laoag City. Clap! Clap! Clap! I've been hearing great raves about them from Janina and Toni, now that I had the chance to work for them already, and saw how they roll, the more I suggest folks to get them. They definitely give you prime service. Very very into you.

Chef Nick of Bistro Candon

Chef Nick is one of my favorite North caterers. And I don't say that just because I always receive a super LOVE chocolate cake. He bakes his pizzas in front of you, cooks his pastas in his kitchen on wheels, you have staff meals, plated and so.

The only regret I have for this wedding was my lack of a nice camera. We had two weddings for this day and Ace got the better camera. I was left with just my phone, I am left with no choice  rather than just have intangible memories of it.

Country Sunflowers:: Kerwin + Maradane

In the middle of summer, the day before this wedding... it rains. Heavy morning rain. It does not douse though the loveliness set to unfold for this sunshiny yellow, country sunflower themed wedding for Kerwin and Maradane. The heavens must have heard our prayers that we were given  a sunny day, on the day of the wedding. So yeah, we smiled back at the sun with our sunshiny yellow flowers. Teehee!

 

Her bouquet of yellow cymbidiums, lisianthus and wax flowers wrapped in jute/abaca, tied with a nice plaid yellow ribbon. Couldn't it be more country than that. And the best way to stay theme cohesive is to deliver them in crates and cans.

 Couple's corner filled with lovely knick knacks of bone china, green bottles and tea sets. Bleached wood made the sunflowers and yellow gerbera's pop out.

Guests couldn't  resist bringing home the lovely blooms.
