Laced, you and I :: TJ + Cris

My love for anything laced and blush colored flowers remind me I'm a girl after all. Just a thought. Well me and my loud thoughts. Teehee!

Seriously, every time I see Cris and TJ's wedding cake, my mind imagines how it feels to caress the lovely lace. And the ruffles are so fluid, as if they are soft. Sigh! I'm loving how it was set against those lush roses, hydrangeas, lisianthuses and carnations.

I remember being asked often how do I know flowers? Was I schooled? I wasn't. And in all honesty I don't even know why I know these kinds of flowers. And when we mix them together, my only formula was that they have to come from the same palette set against a color that will pop their colors more vividly. Yikes! That wasn't very straightforward. The couples area and the presidential tables are my babies. I try to do them myself or if not, I supervise our staff closely while it's being done. And I'm just glad that when I let them redo or totally reject what they are doing, they are up for the challenge to do something better.

And what makes it "maybe" a little easier to instruct how it is to be done, is the fact that somehow I know how to do it myself. In anything, you can't teach what you don't know.
Do you see the framed laces behind the chair? I am totally loving those right now too. Laces are just so romantic. Heck! When did I become romantic? It must be the love bug this February. Teehee!
Ghosts lined up against Arabella Events Place black and white tiles. And who would miss the salmon colored roses and pearls prettifying them? As much as it irks me when props go missing, I find it amusing when guests get our pearls, as if it can be pawned. Yay!

My thoughts are going nuts with what I wish for TJ and Cris. They are just one of our most laid back couples, a handsome pair actually... And all I can think of now is that I wish them days like laces, lovely, lovely and lovely.

Victorian :: Jomarie + Dondon

Our second loveliness for the day at the sprawling garden of Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel with a guest list of 600. Jaw drop. Teehee! When we were conceptualizing their cake, the mister and I were in argument about the small tiny ones he sketched to accent the main cake. Glad I lost, they came out really lovely. It's like a his and hers. The lace work and monograms were patterned after their invite.

And the couples area must have wooed them as Dr. Dondon - the groom, was asking if could we replicate it at their home. I wish I had taken more photos for this event though, I forgot the camera and had to go back and get it. You can just imagine me clicking everywhere in my dingy work clothes amidst ladies and gentlemen in their Victorian garb. Yikes!

Congratulations Dr. Jom and Dr. Dondon, to better mornings together.

December warmth:: Zaida and John Patrick

And we started back to back loveliness with the wedding of Zaida and John Patrick. Shoot me for not having a lot of photos to show, I forgot my camera. I know, darn! So I had to grab some photos from the Lauricio's, Shayne and Tito Cesar -who were the official photographers of this wedding.

Out first 23k gold cake with a wine colored rose topper. Sigh! The cake was so simple yet regal. The gold was something.

How nice were the red candle holders when illuminated.

The peony bouquet of our gorgeous bride, Zaida. Loving how the pinks popped really well from the here and there green buds.

And I love how dim Santa Monica church is. Just in case you were wondering, that is the Sarrat church where I one of the Marcoses got married.

Dainty in December :: Emma + Edmond

"You know, today's wedding matches my mansanillas"

Why, how observant is the genius behind Sitio Remedios. The yellow blooms actually does bring out the loveliness of the Place. We did simple arrangements yet oozing with Emma and Edmonds personality.

The bridesmaids wore cheerful yellows, and the bride was so resplendent in her gown. Dear Emma, post your photos please. Teehee!

Ethereal :: Elyse's baptism

I just couldn't imagine how we got through the craziness of December. I guess what kept me sane was knowing we were working on lovely parties and a team I can super rely on. Right after Christmas we did this ethereal baptismal party for Elyse. We had harps, angel wings, paper angels, balloon clouds everywhere.

Of all things lovely :: Anna + Sam

I'm like trying to bask in the simplicity of this and the other two garden weddings we've done this month before we head on doing the ballrooms. And shoot me for loving them too much but with the natural light or whatever it is photographers call it, the flowers look definitely lovelier.

Let me share you my rule in doing these weddings, if in broad daylight it looks lovely... Believe me, when it is illuminated by candles, it becomes definitely lovelier.

Congratulations Anna and Sam! To all things lovely...
