Unang Pista:: Kerwina Marie

As promised, here is the fiesta we are looking forward to working on this week. If you did love Catniss' Spanish fiesta here, you'll love Kerwina Marie's Unang Pista as well while it reminds you of childhood memories - clay/earthen lutu lutuan, pabitin, the whole nine yards of a Pinoy fiesta.

We had banig place mats, earthen clay pots with fresh "pinakbet" vegetables, frayed sombrero with fresh daisies as centerpieces. We wanted sampaguita yet we can only get hold of sampaguita flowers. I want the whole plant! Teehee!

Kerwina's parents, will always up their game in terms of sourcing for favors.They had abanikos - the accordion and heart shaped one ( I'm so sorry for not knowing how they are really called), mason jars, loot bags printed with banig and banderitas.

I love the huge balloons with fringe tassels!
And again, good job Mommy Mara for color blocking our candies. Believe me, in this side of the universe, it's hard to look for plain colored candies.

Happy birthday darling Kerwina Marie!

Rustic Modern:: Gem + Sherwin

To love, laughter and happily ever after.
It must be for Gem and Sherwin, I just witnessed them do a cheesy entrance dance as I write about their loveliness. Teehee!
And zoning in, they met in school and they wanted that element to be evident in their reception decor, thus the blackboards. We used a lot of yellow Lilliums that made the hall smell divine.

We did the middle tier of their cake like a blackboard and wrote their names on it with edible chalk aka pearl dust. Yay!

Dreams do come true:: Carla + Jr

You know that feeling where you had so much loveliness yesterday that you get so excited to write about … much more share it to the whole world? I’m in that lovely state of mind right now. And if I am in that state, I can only imagine and be immensely happy for Carla and JR. Truly, dreams do come true. Lovely people have lovelier mornings to look forward to.

We had lovely domes of fresh blooms everywhere, with of course high and low votives in really really nice candle holders. Sigh! And we were supposed to have a mirror wall for Carla and Jr but we felt a collage of our tin boxes would give more character to the couple’s lounge. I love the textures it created. The mister DIY-ed those chandelier lamp posts, which I think came out really really neat.

And lest I forget, I’m going to gush about The Red Gala Weddings and Events Team headed by Audrey Co-Adora. They are a local planner, I love, love, love working with. A new player with about a year or so planning and coordinating weddings yet the way they organize and “move” seems like they’ve been here for ages.  Just worth commending. Good job Audrey love and of course to your girls, Chanel, Cjoy, Shayne and Jovi.
