So this is LOVE:: Chrissy + Glenn

Yes, this is LOVE. As we've wrapped this loveliness for darling Christine and Glenn, I tick off working in a mansion in our event venue bucket list. This gorgeous venue, the Grand Island Mansion, is a gem in the middle of nowhere, tucked in acres and acres of never ending farmlands and the charming Consomnes river with those beautiful drawbridges we had to cross just to get there.

When we first heard of the project, I kinda wished we were commissioned to do even just the cake, but as luck would have it, we were asked to work on styling the wedding. Though daunting, because I knew we wont have our crew with us, my excitement was enough to agree and send those proposals. The bride and I coordinated closely amidst the distance, we were in the Philippines, she was in Vegas. I picked the furniture's needed, she rented them. I picked the vases, the candle goblets, the smallest lovely detail, and she would send me confirmation that we have them after a few days.

We handcarried enough black shantung overlays and sequined runners from the Philippines to California which looked so beautiful under the intricate vintage vases with those lovely florals in between mercury candle holders. The head tables had white orchid showers, dramatic Black Forest calla lilies, more lovely white florals, and of course more votives that created a very glamorous set up following our palette of black, white, green, and gold.
Christine's bouquet was so beautiful. It had so many textures from the variety of florals we used. We had scabiousas, maiden hair ferns,Ecuadoreans, garden roses, star of bethlehems, black dahlias, Veronica's, chocolate cosmos! Her bouquet smelled sweet and delicious! Believe me.

Beginnings:: Rizza + Reddy

We're starting our events calendar, as promised, with nothing but loveliness. I love working with flowers a lot. I love how one blooms first than the other, I love how there could be different rose variants - Ecuadoreans, Holland roses, David Austin's, Garden roses, spray roses... Why you can just get lost! Colors, oh my! The list could be almost endless... Antique purple roses, bicolor sprays, purple "cool water" rose... believe me, you'll get lost from this loveliness. And while flowers bring beauty in the floral centerpieces, table scapes, nothing beats it's beauty when it is illuminated with candles.
While Fort ILocandia remains to be the loveliest and grandest among the hotels in the north, you'll have to remove it from your list of possible venues if you want to have lit candles as part of your decor. I had to say pretty please in lighting the candelabras just for pictorials. I kept my promise though that after I take photos, I'd extinguish the candles. My heart cries a little when the guests arrived with no lit candle in sight. Oh well, hotel policy. So I guess, we have to make sure, from our end, that whether a hotel would allow lit candles or not, the centerpieces are lovely.
