Ethereal :: Elyse's baptism

I just couldn't imagine how we got through the craziness of December. I guess what kept me sane was knowing we were working on lovely parties and a team I can super rely on. Right after Christmas we did this ethereal baptismal party for Elyse. We had harps, angel wings, paper angels, balloon clouds everywhere.

Whimsical fairies:: Rainin's 7th

Months before, Rainin's lovely mom, Mae Dawn, already inquired how is it to get our services for Manila. I couldn't actually remember how our conversations went but somehow we agreed we were doing it. It passed my mind, in all honesty, that we were... So when she reminded me as October came, I was a little taken aback and trying to back out. Ha!Ha! If you only knew how crazy it is to have a party in Laoag, two mock up's for a wedding -one for an interior designer and a banker, the other from a political family, then rush to Manila for this.

But as luck wouldn't allow us to back out, we made ways to go. And I'm glad, we pushed through.

The birthday girl super happy and pretty in her Bloom costume.

Butterflies perched everywhere.

Huge butterflies fluttering above lovely blooms of fresh alstroemerias, lisianthus, carnations and roses.

The fairy tots were so cute, all of the kiddos were in their fairy wings and tutus!

Waiting in line for face art.

From Rainin's gracious mom,

Hi manang kit, words cannot even begin to express my gratitude for you and your staff! You and your team have come through beyond what we could have even imagined---your creativity, your calm, your capable HANDS...all worked together to make the Best party experience ever ever ever! You have made our daughter Rainin so happy---everything was truly a fairytale! :))Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Ava's ROCK!:)

Did I say I'm glad we pushed through? Thank you in behalf of the team, for making our stay comfortable and lovely.

Sportastic Red White and Blue:: Brent Aiden's 1st

Don't you just feel patriotic and sporty at the same time with the red, white and blues? Teehee!

This has to be one of the craziest weekends we ever had. Three of our staff had to go to Manila ahead of us for the Whimsy fairy party tomorrow while we are left to do this Sportastic first for Brent Aiden. And as luck would have it, we had to do mock up's for two couples. I'd say the mock up's went really well because the brides couldn't help gushing and get excited about their big days. Yay!

Going back, we laid grass for the kiddie table, a few cones and basketball play-boards as placemats for every kiddo.

The sports ball balloons were so cute... golf, football, soccer and baseball!

Lalaloopsy Loveliness on a typhoon day:: Drienne's 1st

While most of you were cuddling in bed or eating hot ramen or congee, the mister and I, along with our staff braved the strong winds and incessant rain which made our path from Laoag City to Batac City almost suicidal.

Soon as we got to the Kalipi Training Center, we started to do some loveliness for little Drienne. And as luck would have it, there was a power outage! Darn! Of all days. Sigh! But then again, one must do what one is set to do. So with or without electricity... We continued the loveliness.

Don't you think the Lalaloopsy cake is so adorable? The cupcakes that match it are cute as well. We used my writing desk as the cake and cupcake table which I styled with some colored crochet yarns and huge spools.

Sew magically lovely! Body formers we once owned but found home in a dressmaker hobbyist was used to hold patterned ribbons and my neon buttons. When I was purchasing those years ago, my MIL had raised eyebrows. Very long story, it will merit another post. Teehee!

Meter-stick crates! Clever huh!

Oh and after we did this party, someone asked me how do I know where to put things or angle them something like that? I paused, I didn't answer. The talkative me was taken aback. I just let out a smile I think. Yet now I realized there is no book or school that will tell you exactly how to put things, where to put them, rather, styling is an extension of one's self. The way we do things is very parallel to our lifestyle, and those who know us very well would recognize that very quick.

There! That's how we spent our Typhoon Odette day... With loveliness and a hot bowl of miki afterwards.

Happy birthday Drienne!
