Cars, cars and more cars!

It's a car show kind of Sunday today! And the three of us dragged our butts to the Hawaii Convention Center to see the cars for different reasons. Mine was to check out the vintage cars possibly suited for weddings. I realized how limited is my vocabulary for these big, expensive lovely things! If you live by Sunshine City, the red maroon top down car and the white Mercedes is the most vintage you get! So my jaw literally dropped from the selection of old cars on display. I swear though, I did not drool! Teehee!
And the little one has been bugging us to see the car show in Manila but then you just can't leave everything in Sunshine to visit a car show right? We didn't even know there was a car show scheduled on this Haweewee trip. Ticked off from the little mister's bucket list! Yay!

And we probably saved moolah today by not hitting the mall or Dave and Busters. The little mister goes in free! The cars may be stationery but having him feel how it feels like to drive a Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, BMW is the closest to having one for now. Big dreams!

I wish I can say that for myself. Then that Mini Cooper might not be for me... Teehee!
And the mister's reason for tagging along is because he is a mister. Why, the love for shiny fast things!
I learned today that there are different kinds of Beetles! Those tiny turtle like cars shared the spotlight at the car show. They looked very very fancy!
I couldn't help but notice that the 1967 VW bus was styled as displayed! See the surfboard, suitcase, coke details, hula girl? I wonder if the owner is married to a stylist! Teehee!

And the car he couldn't stop talking about (thank you fast and the furious!)... that black Corvette. He endured waiting in line for his turn just to sit in that gorgeous sportscar!

Aloha land... Mahalo for having a car show in time for this trip!

Garden elegance :: Ali and Lawrence

There's the beach and the Haku Lei just recently... silently reminding us of our few days off. How time flies, it's as if it was just yesterday when we scheduled our trip. And like Ali and Lawrence, it must felt like it was as if it was also yesterday that they were just planning for this loveliness to come.

I love how the white flowers blended so nicely with the clear blue skies we had, and the lush gardens of Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel. And of course, not to forget, the nice brick, imposing buildings, Fort has. Note to self, swing by Watanabe and go crazy over their lovely, lovely flower selections.

I wonder how lovely the tablescapes were came dusk. Sigh!

Congratulations Ali and Lawrence, we hope to bump into you (again) and hopefully in the lovely beaches of Haweewee!

Whimsy Alice:: Queen's 18th

Yesterday, I had one too many who brought to my attention how they see a part of us from someone. In all honesty, and just but human, it irks me. But after so much breathe in, breathe outs, the bottom line is that one can never truly stencil what we do, because what we do are extensions of me and the mister's selves. Period.

After we were done setting up this loveliness, we had a nice lengthy chat with Tita Pam of La Preciosa. From the mundane to crazy, on trips and chairs, anniversaries we look forward to. Her lines, I think... He builds. I talk... He listens. How very similar to ours which goes... Beauty and the bitch. Beauty and brains. Where beauty is all the mister's. Teehee! And how we agree that in this line of work, we cannot be complacent and not do baby steps rather leaps. And I should stop boring you with my stories now.

Queen's Whimsy Alice 18th party where we had lovely flowers all over, playing cards, teapots, candelabras hanging from whimsy trees.
