From day 1 of this project, it was a challenge. I had to drag the mister to the first meeting we did them. He was so reluctant doing a meeting on my birthday. Yet, I'm glad we went, without even knowing who we were supposed to work for nor what nor where. The second challenge was coming up with the proposal. Something as clean as the brides pegs, yet as classy and of course, Filipiniana!
The third challenge was Typhoon Yolanda. If by fate would need to cancel all flights, there goes our flowers... It rode the same plane as their guests rode. I was constantly monitoring the plane schedule while doing the props inventory we needed for this loveliness.
And the biggest challenge and so far the last, was the weather. We had sunshine peeking through then really cloudy skies. Then a few short rain showers which made us hope we will be able to pull through with the garden wedding. The lovely team of Jody Liwanag of Events Experts and I agreed to have it there as long as it doesn't rain by 1 in the afternoon. And like I said, the weather was testing us with the few short rain showers it gave. Yet at close to 4 in the afternoon, an hour and a half before the wedding reception has to start, it gave us a downpour! We had no choice but to move EVERYTHING to the ballroom. For starters, you wouldn't want to know how heavy everything was. Bottom line, we managed, we made it. Thank you heavens!
Lara and Vic, our most heartfelt congratulations for the both of you. We wish you the loveliest days ahead. It has been truly an honor to be a part of your ever after.
