Why the French title? Because the presidential table centerpieces remind me of street lamps in France (which I only get to see in photos but seriously yearning to visit). Teehee!

For some reason, I've never met the bride or groom for this wedding. So far the responses I received from this has been positive. I do hope yesterday's couple share the same feeling too.
























And if you folks must be wondering why my thoughts for these past few days have been so short... Can I say again that December is crazy? Sigh! It is... Now I have to get back assembling what we need for tomorrow's wedding.

Vintage love ::Riccia + Godwinn

The bride's line goes... 'You are my answered prayer...' and I couldn't help but be nostalgic. Don't we all want to have someone to grow old with? Sigh!

For this past few days, Ace and I were working separately. He was making all those lovely cakes you see, while I'm styling all these loveliness along with the crew. So for Riccia and Godwinn's, they requested us to work on a vintage theme. So we did a vintage themed wedding at picturesque Playa Tropical.

Just this morning, I received a message from the bride that goes 'thanks for the super duper lovely set-up... We owe you the love vibes!' .Awww! Thank you! I love hearing or reading those lines... It's something that makes all the hardwork rewarding.

Ava's 7th birthday

Right after the last party for last week, we decided to throw Ava a party. It would have been much easier if we had at least 5days leeway... But heck just 2 days. But come to think of it, we wouldn't be Ava's Cakes if we didn't know how to throw one in just 2days! Yay!



First things first, I had to book Arabella's... Specifically the front porch with the striped awning. It was just lovely that everything had to blend with it. I'm glad that Tita Pam of La Preciosa was so accommodating. The lengua was divine! I'm sure it was... It was the first to be cleaned up.


You leave Ace and Ava do a collab on his cake? You get craziness. A sports car with Wilton & Penco as sponsors? Ayayay! Obviously, we make cakes! I was laughing with the cars rear... Burgersteak.com - Ava's all time favorite.


My impromptu favors? Marshmallows in cute jars made lovely with bakers twine and Washi tapes. I'm glad I have a stash on hand.


Ava's requirement for the menu was Lechon with an apple. His granny willingly obliged. Ha! Ha! The straws, we DIY-ed 30 minutes prior to the party -layout, printing, cutting and attaching. Clap! Clap! Clap!



Happy birthday our Ava... Ill say it again, you are our little piece of heaven on earth. We love you so.

Glamour camping aka Glamping :: Drazee Aleya's 7th

At first when they asked me to do a glamping party, I was totally lost. What of all craziness is glamping. Ha!ha! As we went through the theme, I was very eager to do it the more. Our days in Haweewee was spent scouring for lovely finds I could include in this party. You see, each party theme is unique and you just can't use what you have when the day comes. That is one of the lovely challenges of a stylist, must I say... We are also treasure hunters. And as always, I love coherence when doing parties. Never chopsuey!




Drazee's candy bar has to be one of the loveliest we've ever done. We did not only have candies, but fruits, nail polish and GAP nail files! Glamorized everything yay!




Don't you love how the damask brings out Drazee's chevron cake?




Lovely spiral wafers! The moss stones lend the outdoorsy feel of the glamping theme while the silver frame glammed it up.












The brown luggage I got from the swap meet, pier1 vintage clock and the rainbow boa I got on sale at party city. December parties are so lucky, we got each and every party something new from over there. Sigh!








Yes... Keep calm and glamp on. The gold tea kettle was a hand me down from my MIL. Now what do I know, at first I didn't want to get it but not to offend her sensibilities, I did... I guess she has foresight. Haha!




And of course what is camp without a tent?
Working for the Dy's has always been a lovely experience. They let you be, let you do what you want. So everything comes out as a surprise for them. An affirmation that we did good? I got a lovely keep calm and bake on shirt from the little one. Thank you Drazee and happy 7th.

Princess :: Brielle's 1st birthday

It's all kids for this week before we shift to the glamorous world of weddings again. Jitters! So for little Brielle, we did a princess party for her. And her cake? Stacked pillows with a crown on top. Lovely!

















Whenever we do parties, I am biased to doing it in just a few colors. Unless of course, the theme is really asking for it. And whenever we do parties, we try to make sure that everything is coherent and not just randomly added. I love the chase of looking for things that complete our parties. It feels like we're on a non ending treasure hunt, where the treasure would actually be the smiles we get from you when it's done and not the find.

Alright so that's it for the day, tomorrow is another day, another loveliness. Happy birthday Princess Brielle!

Heavenly angelic:: Sam's baptism

It mustn't have been too difficult to choose for the theme for their little one's party. Looking at Sam, she is every inch an angel... Her curly hair, smiling eyes, very cherubic. Yay! So angels it is.






It was predominantly creams, whites, silver and pinks today, feathers and lovely roses. The feathers remind me of soft, puffy clouds.




















And since it is December, we made tree feather centerpieces. Who says angels don't have christmas trees? Teehee!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :: Charles Aerhom's baptism

Last night, straight from the wedding, I asked the staff to bring collaterals to the venue as it is harder to work in the rain if it does rain.I was awaken though, by the early rays of the sun this morning, and I took it as a sign that the party is going to be lovely even with the impending typhoon, which I hope reroutes.

So here's our weekender party. Mickey Mouse clubhouse for Aerhom, who is soooo adorably cute, with rosy chubby cheeks, who also happens to be my godson. Yey!


Cute plant boxes right? We dressed them up like Mickey. The topsy turvy clubhouse cake is sooo cute too. I was begging Aerhom's mommy, Christy Ann not to order too much cupcakes as our week is filled with crazy cakes already. Teehee!
