Love amidst the storm:: Jeremiah + Zielene

I can only wish now for Jeremiah and Zielene, that they may be able to brave any storm that comes their way as brave as how they did face Typhoon Mario's wrath on their wedding day. Congratulations super troopers! Yay!

As if the travel to Vigan was not crazy enough already with an impending typhoon, roadblocks here and there were strewn our way. Cancelled flights, the flowers being on the road for about 30hours, flowers arriving at the nick of time, three and a half hours to prepare church and bouquets and doing all of those with no electricity. Nevertheless, and thank heavens, we managed.

And when everything was made into lovelinesses, I realized that we left our camera. I asked our staff left in Laoag to send it to me but public buses were not in operation. Yikes! So as one must do what one has to do, it was my first time to rely on Instagram's camera for this wedding's documentation. Not as bad as I thought.

How do you like those blush astilbe's with the white roses for Zielene's arm candy?
Alright, the wedding loveliness ends here. I warn you that the next paragraph or so are my crazier than Mario thoughts. Teehee!

Ceremony venue:: St. Augustine Church, Bantay, Ilocos Sur

Reception venue:: Hotel ni Among

Caterer:: Chef Nic of Bistro Candon

Cake and floral + event styling:: Ava's Cakes and Events

I learned a handful of lessons with this wedding. First, watch the news or read about the weather. I'm a ninkampoot, the closest weather forecast or whatever I have is me looking at the sky, if the sun is up, then it is a good sunshiny bright day, if the sun is hiding, then it is cloudy... very elementary believe me. I hope I did not just insult anyone with that line. Second, before leaving home base for an event, make sure that event paraphernalia does not only include props and flowers but the darn camera as well. I like to take our own event pictures for two reasons - first, I get to use them immediately and second, I need not ask permission from anyone aside from the couple for posting wedding details worthy to be posted. I'd rather not go on stealing photos or be kept waiting for a response if I can use a photo I grabbed or so. So not cool to copy paste. Oh, and that goes as well with write-ups... But of course if you insist, there is this thing called citing which will shield you from that bad thing called plagiarism. Touché!
