Books and more :: Pio Hermann's 1st

We must be nuts for squeezing a few days off in our cray calendar. When my body clock was syncing with Haweewee time, we were set to come home. How uncooperative, sigh!

Anyways, we had to be back in time to do Pio Hermann's book themed party. I borrowed my little mister's I Wonder Why... books. Have you had the chance to read a copy of those? It's a picture book which is amusing and educational. My fave volume goes I wonder why the dodo is dead! Teehee! Don't you wonder why?

With that quote above, the stars must be dancing endlessly. Happy happy birthday little Pio. You truly are a miracle and we thank your mom and dad, for letting us work on yours as we had work on their wedding day... 9 years ago. Wow! How time flies! Mahalo for having us!

Cars, cars and more cars!

It's a car show kind of Sunday today! And the three of us dragged our butts to the Hawaii Convention Center to see the cars for different reasons. Mine was to check out the vintage cars possibly suited for weddings. I realized how limited is my vocabulary for these big, expensive lovely things! If you live by Sunshine City, the red maroon top down car and the white Mercedes is the most vintage you get! So my jaw literally dropped from the selection of old cars on display. I swear though, I did not drool! Teehee!
And the little one has been bugging us to see the car show in Manila but then you just can't leave everything in Sunshine to visit a car show right? We didn't even know there was a car show scheduled on this Haweewee trip. Ticked off from the little mister's bucket list! Yay!

And we probably saved moolah today by not hitting the mall or Dave and Busters. The little mister goes in free! The cars may be stationery but having him feel how it feels like to drive a Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, BMW is the closest to having one for now. Big dreams!

I wish I can say that for myself. Then that Mini Cooper might not be for me... Teehee!
And the mister's reason for tagging along is because he is a mister. Why, the love for shiny fast things!
I learned today that there are different kinds of Beetles! Those tiny turtle like cars shared the spotlight at the car show. They looked very very fancy!
I couldn't help but notice that the 1967 VW bus was styled as displayed! See the surfboard, suitcase, coke details, hula girl? I wonder if the owner is married to a stylist! Teehee!

And the car he couldn't stop talking about (thank you fast and the furious!)... that black Corvette. He endured waiting in line for his turn just to sit in that gorgeous sportscar!

Aloha land... Mahalo for having a car show in time for this trip!
