So our December calendar of loveliness has officially started with the wedding of my good friend Maricel Salvador to Anwar Mamaclay. It reminded me how I love weddings, doing it and attending some.
This was a loveliness we had to be at. Why, even our clothes were a wedding of sorts. The boys in HIS barongs and my dress from Sartoria di Malan. I am just so happy Lani Pineda is back home and has opened her atelier for good. She's been making the Swiss too happy and us back here longing for her too long. Now it's time we have her here and make Switzerland miss her. She did my wedding gown N years ago. If you are very particular with fabrics, fit and workmanship, I highly recommend her. I also made sure I was dolled up last night. It pays to be in this industry. Audrey Adora did Maricel's make up and mine. She did the bride, and me! Yay! I must be special. Thank you Audrey.
And of course what's a wedding without some reunion. My lovely friend Gracielle Bañares was the maid of honor. We trace way back to our college days- filled our dorm with so much craziness, when we visit Manila and get together- we fill it with laughter and still our crazy antics, we do California and still be our usual crazy selves! It's not really surprising how Maciang found her. Teehee!
