Let me go off tangent. Like most dysfunctional families, ours is, yes, like yours, perfectly imperfect. We do get our shares of lemons too- in different forms, two legged folks, the weather, fate! But somehow, I think growing up surrounded by strong women, made me resilient. It is not something I talk about everyday because like days, it passes and call me cray, but I like life's challenges. And apparently,I'm loving saying "Bring it on!" quite often. And like making lemonades, if you have just one lemon, it makes one glass, more lemons, more glasses... One challenge, one victory, more challenges, more victories. Oh and with Ava's cakes, we translate challenges to loveliness.
Going back to this party, a little past seven this morning, we had a visit from Xoan's parents. His dad was quite pessimistic about having us at first, but then last night we hit it spot on... According to Xoan's mom, it was the dad who insisted to see us first thing in the morning to tell us about how lovely their party was. Yay! A lemon made to lemonade again. Couldn't be more pleased.
So thats how we ended one of our loveliest summers.
Hello June 1st! May we all embrace life's lemons and make them to lemonades err loveliness.
