Modern Filipiniana::Claire & Billy

It's been long since we've done something locally inspired. Been excited to do this for months. The couple are our clients since time in memorial... We did their nieces and other relatives cakes and parties. We just had to make good again (tee hee!) this time.

Her bridal bouquet was a mix of something from the neighborhood and somewhere out there...

The lowly salakot isn't as lowly anymore.

I raided the family home and used our wooden baul's as tables.

This tablescape was so challenging. We didn't have a plan on what to do... Impromptu. Yay! I used native hats as vases for the cascading orchids then propped it on lovely glass vases.

We got crazy with the cake... The bride gave us swatches of her gowns lacework, so we infused that... Ace wanted to impress... So he added a light feature on the cake... Believe me, it was so hard doing this cake... It was almost suicidal. This was a collaborative effort of everyone in the house... It was so tall,heavy and delicate. Very!

Again, congratulations Manang Claire and Manong Billy!
